Richard Moorsom was brought up in South Africa and England. He graduated with an MA in African Studies from the University of Sussex, Brighton. He has published a number of articles and books on the social and economic history of Namibia, focusing on colonisation, land loss and labour migration. He specialised in urbanisation and urban policy, land tenure and land reform, fisheries resource management, poverty and social impact assessment at the CMI in Norway. He now works in New Zealand as a tribunal member researching Maoiri property claims under the Treaty of Waitangi. |
