Frueh's investigation makes a valuable contribution to this literature as he offers a detailed evaluation of key events within the anti-apartheid struggle drawing on considerable empirical research. His study is more than just an historiography of the anti-apartheid movement, however, as he explores the interplay between South Africans' identities and the transformation of their society. |
