 A very important contribution on the role of women within the EPLF (Eritrean People's Liberation Front), the social transformation taking place in Eritrea during this long war; the historical perspective involving the Americans, then the Soviets and the day to day existence of both Christian and Muslim women. The role of the ELF (Eritrean Liberation Front) in Barka province is well documented by Minya Kubrom who is a member of the NUEWmn (National Union of Eritrean Women).
