 Nkrumah; Bentum; Sekondi; Ghana Richard Jeffries' study of Ghanaian railwaymen, a revised version of his 1975 thesis for the London School of Oriental and African Studies, is a significant contribution to the growing volume of publications on African labour and trade union history. At the same time, this book provides important new insights into the patterns and dynamics of political change in Ghana over the last forty years.
