Its over 10 years since the debt crisis began, yet debt and poverty continue to mount in many Southern countries and seriously hamper all attempts to work for long-term and equitable development. To date the steps taken to resolve the debt crisis have been inadequate. Economic problems in Britain and other European countries are severe too.
